It is wonderful when children help cook, it opens their imagination and induces a feeling of self confidence.
But please don't let your child work with food that you would not be comfortable letting them eat raw.
Fruits & vegetables, etc are okay, once washed thoroughly.
Never let your children touch raw meat. or raw eggs, these foods can carry bacteria that can make them sick, and though the bacteria is killed in the cooking process making meats and eggs safe to eat. In un-cooked food (raw stages) these bacteria can make your children ill or even cause death at times
