Spider Web Cup Cakes
Spider Web Cup Cakes are the kind of treat that kids love at school parties. This Halloween goodie is doubly special in the fact that not only does the child get to eat a yummy cupcake, but... A special prize decorates the tasty treat: a plastic spider ring. Kids love the fun that comes with this perfect for party treat.
Kids will love helping to make and decorate these as much as they will enjoy eating them. but remember, raw eggs in the recipe so "No licking the beaters"

Spider Web Cup Cakes
1 cake mix (2 layer size)
1 container prepared white frosting
1 container prepared chocolate frosting
food coloring
spider rings
halloween cup cake holders
cake mix
Prepare cake mix according to package directions
Line cup cake tins with cup cake papers and spray with non stick cooking spray. Fill 2/3 full, makes about 24 cupcakes. Bake according to package directions

Color the icing orange and mix well.
Frost tops of all cup cakes.
Place a piping bag or a freezer bag into a glass fold excess over the glass like a sleeve
Fill with chocolate frosting.
Cut tip of bag with scissors to create a small opening
Draw a spider web with chocolate icing, begin by making a cross, then an X ove the cross and connect the sides with squiggly lines, does not need to be neat.
Or...
draw a fat dot in the center of the cup cake and circles around it with the chocolate icing.
Take a tooth pick and starting at the center dot, gently pull the toothpick outward to draw the icing out to look like a web.

Place a spider ring in the center of each cupcake atop the spider web
Be sure to warn the children that the spider rings are NOT edible, use discretion on ages of children, remove spider rings before giving to small children.
Place on a spooky tray, decorate tray with Halooween candy, enjoy.
