Angel Food Cake with Fruit Sauce

The perfect light ending to almost any meal, use fresh or frozen berries, your choice of flavor. You regulate the sugar, top with a dollop of whipped cream and you have a sweet, delicious dessert tha whips up in minutes.

Using a store bought Angel Food cake, saves precious time and assures a perfect cake without the fuss. All you do is dress it up and take the credit.

Angel Food cake with Fruit Sauce

1 angel food cake (you can make your own if you wish)

1 (16) oz bag frozen strawberries thawed (or mixed berries of your choice)

½ Cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons orange juice

1 package vanilla pudding (4 serving size) made according to package directions

whipped cream

Serves about 8

mix ½ the strawberries in a blender with brown sugar orange juice, blend till smooth.

Mix in remaining berries reserving about 8 nice berries for top.

Slice angel food cake into 8 slices. Place about 1 to 2  tablespoons of  the berry sauce on serving plate, spread with spoon to cover bottom, place one slice angel food cake on top with 2 tablespoons prepared vanilla pudding. Spoon about 1/4 cup berry mixture, top with whipped cream, place reserved strawberry on top for decoration

For a prettier presentation:

Pour berry sauce into a squeeze bottle and drizzle a  wide zig zag pattern on plate, place cake in center, add pudding, drizzle more berry sauce, top with whipped cream, fresh or frozen berries for garnish and a sprig of mint.

Newsflash
Yesterday all servers in the U.S. went out on strike in a bid to get more RAM and better CPUs. A spokes person said that the need for better RAM was due to some fool increasing the front-side bus speed. In future, busses will be told to slow down in residential motherboards.
