This Recipe produces loads of moist, cakey, cream cheese chocolate brownies, easy to make and easy to eat, makes enough to share with friends and neighbors.
This is one of my husband's (and his friends) personal favorite. I get multiple requests to make this recipe, again and again. Quick and Easy Cream Cheese Chocolate Brownies
1 Package Deep Dark Chocolate Cake Mix, 2 layer size
1 (8oz) package cream cheese
1 egg
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. bag chocolate chips
Makes about 48 to 60 brownies
Prepare chocolate cake mix according to package direction, pour into a prepared jelly roll pan or large cookie sheet with 1/2 inch sides
In a mixing bowl combine cream cheese, egg and sugar and beat until thoroughly combined, add vanilla beat for one more minute. mixture should be thick and slightly pale yellow in color.
Drop by tablespoons onto the prepared cake mix in jelly roll pan, spacing the cheesecake mixture in an even pattern. With a butter knife, marble cheesecake evenly but lightly through deep dark chocolate cake.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake as directed, the large shallow pan actually bakes the brownies in about 25 minutes, they should give slightly when pressed with finger in center, be careful, the brownies are hot. I don't suggest the tooth pick test, because of the gooey chocolate chips, but you could use that test if you wish, the brownies do puff up nicely. Slice into squares when slightly cooled
