Chocolate tips

These cookies are easy to make, but, the multiple steps make it a bit time consuming.  The recipe creates a whole bunch of yummy sandwich style cookies, so it's worth the time and effort.  They make a great Christmas gift, and are super to make with family, so each member can take a chore and have them made in a jiffy.

Chocolate tips

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt

Strawberry or raspberry jam
chocolate chips (1 bag) (melted)
chopped nuts or jimmies

Combine all ingredients to mix well. fill cookie press dough, using the ribbon head make long ribbons of cookie dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350F for 6 to 8 minutes.

Immediately upon removing the cookie sheet from oven cut into 2 inch pieces, and pair them up.

Spread on side of cookie with jam, cover with another cookie similar size, pretty side out on both cookies, dip ends into melted chocolate chips, then nuts or jimmies if desired.

Let them set for about 1/2 hour in a cool dry place, and serve.

Newsflash
Yesterday all servers in the U.S. went out on strike in a bid to get more RAM and better CPUs. A spokes person said that the need for better RAM was due to some fool increasing the front-side bus speed. In future, busses will be told to slow down in residential motherboards.
