Baked Brie
Baked Brie is just one of those simple pleasure that you just must enjoy from time to time. Wether you are entertaining company, or it's just a night for two; This simple but elegan appetizer can help to impress friends or create a romantic environment. Serves well with Bagel chips, or good quality crackers. Excellent with Fresh Fruit and gently toasted french baguettes. Baked Brie
1 (13.2 oz.) Baby Brie 1/2 Cup Dark Brown sugar (Packed) 1/4 Cup slivered Almonds (toasted) Assorted Fruits, Chunked Assorted Crackers
Spray oven proof baking dish lightly with non stick spray, place brie in center, cover with brown sugar and slivered almonds.
Cover entire container with aluminum foil. Bake in 300 F Oven for 15 to 20 minutes, the brie should be soft in the center and slightly gooey.
Test with back of a spoon by pressing gently, as sugar should have melted and will be hot.
Serve hot with assorted crackers and chunks of fresh fruit.
To Serve, use a cheese knife if available. place small amount of melted brie on cracker, top with a chunk of fruit. Enjoy!
The brown sugar is an excellent compliment to the brie and serves to enhance the flavor.
Perfect with champagne or a light wine.
