This is the FAQs page, If you do not find the answers that you are looking for here, please send me an email, I will do my best to answer all of your questions pertaining to this site.
Thank you.

FAQs

(Q)   Where do you get the recipes from?

(A)  Most are recipes that I created by accident, When I had to make dinner but like many of you didn't have the fancy ingredients in the cupboard and just staples to work with, and got lucky and came away with a tasty dish that became a family favorite. Some come from family and friends, others were recipes that I modified to fit my family's tastes and budget.

(Q)  Do I have to become a member?

(A)  No you don't have to become a member to have access to the recipes or most free printables for that matter, You simply won't have access to a few materials that are created specially for the members.

(Q)  Why would I want to become a member?

(A)  Well, for starters membership is free. You also will have personalized recipe cards and stationery created with your sign in name posted for your personal use.  There are often some items that become available only to members, currently the Valentine Day note cards are members only.  More items will be posted for members only as time allows.

Occasionally if there is a slow response from the members regarding certain items, I will chose to make them available for public use.

You will also get occasional updates on anything special that might be going on with the site that you may find of interest, or if something new is being offered for members only.

(Q)  Tell me about the personalized printables?

(A)  Currently, to the best of my knowledge, Quick-and-Easy-Recipes is the only site that is making "Free Personalized Printables" Available to anyone at this time.

As our way of saying Thank you for becoming a member, we offer 4 personalized recipe cards and 4 personalized stationery items, Florals for the ladies, and a masculine pattern for the gentlemen.

You may chose to print these or save them to your computer for later personal use.

You must become a member to have the personalized printables made for you, No Exceptions.

Once you become a member you will have access to any of the personalized recipe cards and stationery that have been created, not just yours, so you can go ahead and print some up for your friends and family if you wish. Just remember, you may not post these or redistrubute them in any form with out specifice written permission from Quick-and-Easy-Recipes. I am considering ending this offer in June or July due to time issues.

(Q)  I love your recipes can I post it on my group?

(A)  If you send me an email telling me where you would like to post it, and provide proper credit to my site and the author of the recipe and a link to my site, the answer is yes, provided you get permission from me first and provide the required info.

You may NOT post any of the recipes from this site anywhere else and take credit for it as your own, or not provide a link back to this site and provide proper credit to this site and the author of the recipe.

I do check on occasion and have been able to find a few offenders that love to take credit for my work, I am not impressed or flattered by this action, I am insulted by their lack of respect for my work, and do seek to take action. So far my success rate is high in having my recipes removed from unauthoried sites. If this practice continues, you will find a new section here called "Hall of Shame" Where I plan to post the names and web sites of such offenders.

(Q)  Why do you have some areas that are just links to your recipes?

(A)  Well, When ever possible, I prefer not to post the same recipe in multiple places, some might see this as cheating. However I do want to make finding the recipes as easy for you as possible, and some recipes fall into multiple categories, So I provide some pages in the additional categories as links to where the recipes are actually posted. You find them easier and it seems like a win-win.

(Q)  How often do you update?

(A)  I try to update every few weeks, I am constantly working behind the scenes, creating new recipes, testing new recipes, trying out new ideas, creating new printables, and searching out options on the net that will help me to make this a better site.  So although you may not see new content for a week or two, it doesn't mean that it is not being created and prepared to provide you with the best and most accurate information.

(Q)  Do you run contests?

(A)  We are currently working on a contest due to begin in June. Prizes have been purchased, and  you will begin seeing the pictures and information regarding this very soon.  At this time the contest plan is a submit your recipes contest, we will be looking for numbers of recipes being submitted.

First prize is a basket of goodies, Second Prize is A Beautiful hard cover cook book, brand new. Third prize is 10 personalized recipe Cards and Matching shopping lists, these are all new and created especially for this contest, and not made available anywhere else.

(Q)  I don't want to enter the contest, but I do have a recipe that I would like to share, How do I do that?

(A)  You can send me your recipe via email, include a small to moderate size bio and a pic of  you, your recipe or both. I am planning on begining some bio pages for members who submit recipes, so when your recipe is displayed the begining will read something like: This recipe was submitted by (Your name Here) Your name loves to cook, and experiment with recipes.
read more about Your name. The READ MORE part would be a link that takes you to a separate page with the complete bio submitted by Your Name, including pics and links to all recipes submitted by Your Name.

This will also be helpful if you find a recipe that you love that was submitted by someone, by checking out their bio you will be able to find the names and links to all recipes submitted by a particular person, so they will always receive full credit for their recipes submitted.

Each time someone submits an additional recipe it will be added to their bio page and a link to the bio page will be added to their recipe along with a small intro about them.

This is your moment to shine, and let the world see your wonderful talents.

Newsflash
Yesterday all servers in the U.S. went out on strike in a bid to get more RAM and better CPUs. A spokes person said that the need for better RAM was due to some fool increasing the front-side bus speed. In future, busses will be told to slow down in residential motherboards.
