Sausae & Peppers Pasta with Sweet Tomato Glaze

Sausage and Pepper Pasta with Sweet Tomato Glaze
1 Lb Sweet Italian Sausage 1 Large Green Pepper 1 Medium Sweet Onion 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil 2 tsp. Italian seasonings 1 tsp. Garlic Powder 1 tsp. Onion Powder 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar 1 Tablespoon Sugar. 1 Cup Spagetti Sauce 2/3 Cup Water 1 Lb. Penne or Rigattoni Pasta
Cook Pasta according to package directions. Heat Olive Oil in large frying pan. Cut Italian Sausage in 2 inch chunks, Add Sausage to hot oil.
Reduce heat to medium to medium high. Cut Green Pepper and Onion into medium strips, add to sausage, add italian seasonings, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar and balasamic vinegar. Stir frequently to avoid sticking.
Add water, cover and turn heat to low, simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. When water has reduced add spagetti sauce, heat for about 3 to 5 minutes (test your sausage to make sure it has fully cooked, juices should run clear and the meat should be firm and no longer pink. When done, Serve over hot pasta.
This entire meal cooks in about 20 minutes. |
