From atmosphere to food, to activities, all the bases are covered for some truly ghoulish fun!

Party Ideas

Halloween

Atmosphere:

- Use black lights throught the house
- Play spookiy sounds or have scary movies on
- For Small children, play age appropriate halloween movies or songs, like moster mash, ghostbuster theme, etc.
-Hang black garbage bags on walls to make room appear darker/scarier.
- Set up a cauldron with dry ice for smoke effect.
- Put a head of cauliflower in a juar of water and label it brains.
- Use fake spiderwebs & fake spiders throught the party area.
- Leave a dummy or skeleton partially hanging out of the bathtub.
- Hang scary masks in corners and dark areas
(for special effects, highlight with glow in the dark paint)

Food Ideas:

(Recipes provided on site for ideas marked with asterisk*)
- Mummified dogs :  (Hot dog rollups) *
- Spider web cupcakes *
- Monster guts ( Spagetti)
- Sand-witches (Cut with halloween theme cookie cutters)
- Brains (Steamed caulilflower in cheese sauce)
- Jellow with gummy worms and insects
- Blood Punch / Blood & Guts Punch
 - Red Kool-aid with fake eyes floating
 - Freeze ice cubes with gummy worms and float in punch
 - Fill a glove with water or punch and freeze till solid, remove glove, float hand shaped ice in punch.

Activities:
- First tell guests a scary story about the location of the party.  ie: It's haunted and the ghost comes back for revenge every (date of party / Halloween)
- Use discretion for age groups
- Costume Contest
 - If the children are small we suggest giving small prizes to each child. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, scariest, most original, prettiest, etc.
- Provide a small to mdium pumpkin for each child to paint or carve (age discretion) Prizes can be awarded here as well.
- You could provide bags or pillow cases and have the children decorate their own trick or treat bag with black and glow in the dark paints.
- Bobbing for apples, (Classic)
- Toilet paper mummy game:  Children are paired up, one is the mummy maker, one is the mummy, Using rolls of cheap toilet paper, each mummy maker is provided one roll of toilet paper, and the host chooses a certain ammount of time to allow for the mummifiying to occur.
play a song, use an egg timer, what ever. The mummifier, will wrap the toilet paper around the mummy during the time allowed, the best wrapped mummy and mummifier win.
It sounds easy, but the toilet paper tears and becomes tangled, falls off, etc. lots of fun, inexpensive, simple, even for smaller children, excellent for school parties.
- Hang black garbage bags from ceiling to make a maze, and add scary decorations through.
- Scavenger Hunt:  Make a lilst of items such as rubber bat, severed hand, spiders, eyeballs, etc. and send kids through your "Haunted House"  to find them, the child with the most items wins.
